(From left to right) Chris, Shylo, Tim, Alex, and Shea are discussing what needs to be done for the Lexplay version of Dreams

The latest Milestone Meeting we had (at the beginning of this month on the 3rd) at Base 110 downtown went well, and we saw some new changes to a few of the Dreams' games since Rules and Play. As we all gathered around the business table, we each discussed what we had done to our game for the Morlan Gallery, and what we wanted to do to them for the Lexplay gaming convention next month. The updates for each developer and their game(s) is as follows:

- Vince and his game VR:VR:VR:AE (ask him to tell you what that acronym means, haha) seemed to have hit a snag; Vince admitted that he didn't really know where else to go with what he had done, and wanted to leave it as the racing, physics sandbox experience it had eventually become. He also mentioned how he'd like to spend his extra time before Lexplay helping others with their games, trying to bring some more polish to them, and allowing his to stay as part of the Dreams app, instead of being it's own stand-alone game. He said he had enjoyed himself very much, and can't wait for the next project on the horizon.

- Tim had slightly updated his game (Air Mail) with better player feedback, but would also like to add in a few other small features (like implementing a bench the player can sit on, and the light post working like he wanted for the Rules and Play version). He said he'd love to add these things before Lexplay, to make it feel more complete.

- Christina's game, SPAce, didn't get any updates since Rules and Play, but she was adamant to get it updated before Lexplay, wanting to add in custom galaxies to create, better textures on some of the models, a few other art-related embellishments, and - if possible - make the game even deeper by allowing the player to choose specific items to add into the water, instead of just one type of item for each section (like only one perfume bottle being interacted with; she would like to make all of the bottles interactable, releasing different gases into the basin water).

- Shea's games - Interaction and Bubbles - also did not get any updates for the Morlan gallery because most of Shea's time, as technical lead, was spent interconnecting all of the games for Rules and Play, and trying to polish up player feedback and playability. Shea says he's more than liekly going to put Bubbles on the back burner for now, and focus on making multiple new scenes for Interaction, since he already has most of the art assets done and ready for use.

- Zach's (and also technically Shylo's) game Shadow Play did not receive any new updates, as well, considering the main developers of the game had other work going on at the time. However, they would love to update it for Lexplay, wanting to make it have a more overall, intuitive feel for what to do. They would also like to create a custom hand reticle for better interaction, wallpaper textures, and some other small, artistic changes (like lighting and so forth).

- Chris' games (Yenen's Tale and Sol Mates) apparently got big updates. Yenen's Tale now has a simple fighting system and an enemy unit that appears once certain actions have been taken. The player is able to battle the enemy type with a new weapon for Yenen, and they can see what kind of baddies roam the land of Par'N. As for Sol Mates, most of the inner workings have been overhauled, giving the game a more polished feel, with updated features (like an invisible "soul gauge"), new sound effects, and some updated art. Chris is planning on setting Yenen's Tale aside until after Lexplay, and want to focus on Sol Mates, creating a full fledged game where certain challenges would be added, like an enemy unit that could make purifying souls not such an easy task as it has been in the past.

- Leonard's little experience, Fluffy Water, also updated his game, adding in slight changes to the playability, allowing more streamline access to the water jets and how they perform, and a few new particle effects to give the water spraying a better aesthetic. Leonard, like Vince, feels like Fluffy Water is somewhat at a standstill, and would like to dedicate his time before Lexplay in helping others with their games.

Seems our Dreams just keeps getting bigger and better, and we are currently showing off our newest version of the application at the Morlan Art Gallery at Transylvania University in downtown Lexington. It seems every so often we are putting on special showings of the game as well, allowing attendees to experience it not only through GoogleVR and PC, but also through the HTV Vive headset. Come out, starting this week, every weekday afternoon to step into the Dreams of others, up until the beginning of October!
