Solidifying a Dream's End
This last Sunday (of the 11th) was the most recent meeting with the members of HVRE for "Dreams" and was also the last day for this year's KFP event (where groups of people from around Kentucky participated in a state-wide, game jam event over the weekend). Some people came and went here at Base110, but most of the action happened up in Louisville; good job to all who got involved, and we hope you came out of it with a new game or even new experiences! As for HVRE, crunch time is upon us, and we are hard at work finalizing models, effects, sounds & music, scripts, game mechanics, and of course, the actual VR museum in which all of the games are going to be implemented into. We have a lot of Beta versions floating around, and most are not just in a playable condition, but some even have their final winning conditions to seal the digital deal! I, personally, as the main "blogger" for HVRE, would like to take a paragraph to express not only gratitude to the others in the group for getting me involved in a life-long passion of mine - helping push me into territory I had previously thought almost impossible - but also sincere admiration. The strides and progressions we have made in the past 3 years with Shylo, Leonard, and Shea at the helm have been miraculous and ever-growing (especially for a mostly volunteer, non-profit group), and I don't see us slowing down any time soon; in fact, quite the contrary. Thanks, once again. For those that might want to get in this season's project near the end, we are going to need testers for the 10+ games being made, and since we are meeting twice a week now (every Wednesday and Sunday until the games are complete), even YOU can get in on VR game development starting today!
