This past meeting (on the 21st of May) will be the last weekly meeting until our Milestone 2 gathering - which will be this coming Sunday, on the 28th. With this deadline looming, the people here at HVRE are working overtime to coalesce their individual ideas into workable, playable Betas that will be presented for all interested parties to see! Over 10 games are being created for this seasonal project, and each of them are turning out to be quite unique. For those who are interested in making games, but literally have no idea where to even begin, there are two programs going on in Lexington that could be the spark you need! Of course, there is this season's HVRE project (known simply as "Dreams"), which gathers people from all over Lexington and beyond to collaborate together on an indie, volunteer-based VR game(s). The other project is run by RunJumpDev - called "Hurdles" - where if you already have an idea in mind, you can expound upon it through a 5-week slow game jam, of sorts (this meeting happens every Tuesday night, check out their FB page for more details). Either way, Lexington is becoming a premier hot spot for video game development, and if you have any skills that could be utilized for such an endeavor, we'd love to see you at one of these events!
