This past weekend (of the 30th of April) was our very first Milestone meeting for our newest, seasonal VR project entitled "Dreams." We had a great turnout of people with an amazing plethora of games and experiences they have been working on for a few weeks, and everyone was able to present their games to the group (and to the entire web)! Here is the digital arsenal we have so far: - Shea is working on two titles at the moment; one being a simple, somewhat static RPG named (for now) "Interaction," while the other one is a more unique experience where players must pop a multitude of bubbles floating around them, creating sounds and music - Zachary (alongside Shylo) is hard at work on a novel idea called "Shadow Play," where the player takes on the role of a child in their bed, creating creatures and objects from shadows all around their room - Dustin is developing a game called "Toy Room," where player will be able to interact with various toys, which will, in turn, interact with other toys around them - Bill has been working on a game called "L5," where the player will be within a living pod, of sorts, floating around in space, trying to survive and live out their days - Christopher is also working on two experiences; the first being "Yenen's Tale: Crossroad," a low-poly, simple RPG set in a surreal environment, while the second one (renamed to "Sol Mates") will allow the player to exist as a sun god within a star, cleansing souls to send back to planets for reincarnation - Christina (with the help of Chris and others) has been designing a game simply called "SPAce," where the player finds themselves in a solitary spa, with the ability to create their own galaxy around them, using various items - Tim has been milling around with an idea called "Air Mail," where the player must manipulate and control flocks of paper cranes into their designated mail boxes (but watch out for Momma Crane!) - Leonard is developing an idea called "Fluffy Water," where players will be able to relax in a stylized park while they control the water fountains that lie in the middle of said park - Vince was not able to physically make it to this meeting, however he sent us a video of his game (called "Vapor Wave Racer"); a multi-player project about racing cars in a Vapor Wave setting (a genre of music and lifestyle) We are THRILLED not only to be able to have all of our awesome members in one spacious location to meet up (shout out to Base110 for that), but also the amount of ideas and actual games that are already floating around. We will continue to have out regular weekly meetings at Kre8now Makerspace and we hope to see more people come in for these meetings; perhaps to help others with their games, to possibly start on their own, or to just come chill out with us while we do our thang!
