This week (for 07/25-07/31) concerning one of the newest horror VR experiences coming out in just a couple of months (to be presented at this year's Lexplay convention, here in Lexington, Kentucky - http://lexplaycon.com/), "Mansion of Mortimer" hopes to harness the skills and talents of local game devs, artists, composers, and other interested parties to create something both intriguing and possibly frightening! Some of the core team members were not able to make it physically to this week's Sunday meeting (yet, they were able to watch and interact with the live stream), however Matthew Hopkins - also known as "Mello," our local composer - was able to attend his first meeting with the team, and was also able to play test what we have, so far!

As for other updates, Shylo was able to extend the VR play space, to take up the unused space that was the former Puzzle 3 (a loss we hope will be an eventual gain). The team contemplated a type of highlighting system that instead of showing up at specific times as a type of hint to confused players, will possibly also be implemented as a staple for whenever a player picks up whatever object they can, to indicate interactivity. We also briefly played with the idea of selling our finished game on one - or many - of the digital gaming retailers out there (Steam and GoG being just a couple), and possibly in a way that buyers would be able to pay the price they felt was fair!
To wrap up this week's update, it seems a complete and playable version 2 will be available for play testing in 2 weeks from yesterday! With that being said, certain coding systems for certain puzzles are finally complete while others are still being worked on. New models and textures for both the environment and puzzles, alike, are being created - as I type - and should be able to be interacted with very soon!
Speaking of play testing, the team is still looking for all types of people - of creed and age - to play test the completed version 2 (a type of Alpha, one could say), starting as early as August 14th!
