With a somewhat "double-dose" of meetings this week (for 07/18-07/24), the dev team for "Mansion of Mortimer" had enough time to get together to finalize on a few key decisions that hadn't really been totally decided upon, until now. To name one in particular, Puzzle 3 is now totally out of the game (because of certain restraints put upon the team), but this means the VR game space will now be bigger and feel a bit less cramped, and the team will be able to focus on the main 5 puzzles and their counterpart puzzles, to be able to deliver an even more perfected experience. For those that might know, Puzzle 3 was going to allow a certain player to go into a secret room behind the fireplace of the library, to solve a puzzle dealing with engineering. However, this hasn't been the first time where the team had had issues agreeing on how to deal with the "extra space" of the room that would only be unlocked after a certain point in the game; suffice to say, we were swift to finally cut it out when it seemed it would possibly hinder the rest of the project.

Some other updates include in-depth coding issues being rectified and revamped; with one in mind being the new "Snap" system so objects will be placed (or "snap") within a player hand, accordingly, and also so the object will snap into their designated places based on what puzzles they are a part of. We were also able to contact both a visual artist (Alec, from Indiana) and audio artist (Mello, who helped with the game "Read Only Memories"), and they are both excited to help in their own unique ways!
Also, lastly (but certainly not least), we got a hold of some awesome play testers who will be helping out here in just a couple of weeks, however we are definitely still looking for more who are interested in VR or play testing video games, in general! Please just follow the link below (which the link for the actual form will be on the front page - just follow the giant arrow), and we will be contacting you here very soon!

Thanks again to all of those devs, volunteers, and fans who are helping make this project possible, and we are so excited to bring a playable version to play testers here in the middle of next month!
